MUSÉE BONNAT-HELLEU
In 2018, the Bonnat-Helleu Museum, then under construction for an indefinite period, closed its space to the public temporarily. In order to bring its collection to life, the museum commissioned me to create a series of panels that would obstruct the windows of the building. The panels had to present artists from the collection through a portrait of the artist and a chosen work. The choice was made on 8 artists from the collection: Jacques Petithory, Pierre Vignal, Paulette Howard-Johnston, Léon Bonnat, Antonin Personnaz, Hélène Derrécagaix, Paul and Caroline Poydenot. The color markers in the corners use the color code of series and are also a nod to the cover of New Order's 'Power, Corruption and Lies' album, designed by Peter Saville in 1983.
